Q. Do you offer online courses?
A . We do! We currently offer an online hair extensions course that can be started immediately.
Q. Who are your courses accredited with?
A . All of our courses are accredited through ABT, City & Guilds, Focus Awards, TQUK or The Guild of Professional Hair Extensions.
Q. I’m interested in a course you don’t offer. Could you possibly be delivering it in the future?
A . Definitely! We are in the process of receiving the accreditation to deliver a number of new courses that will be available in the coming months.
Q. How do I book onto a course?
A . You can book onto one of our courses using the booking feature of our website, enquiring through our website and social media pages, or you can call us on 0161 536 6895.
Q. Can I cancel my place on a course?
A . You can cancel your place on our course no later than 4 days prior, and you will lose your deposit. However if you chose to change the day we can accommodate you onto another date depending on availability.
Q. How can I pay for my course?
A . You can pay for a course through our websites payment methods, pay in person via cash or card, as well as through our finance schemes.
Q. Are there finance options available?
A . We have student finance options available for our NVQ qualifications. Please contact us on 0161 536 6895 to discuss other finance options that are available.
Q. Once I have completed my course, how long does it take for me to receive my certificate?
A . If you are doing a funded course with us you will receive your certificates within 6 weeks of completing and a kit of your choice from our list, you will be able to choose this towards the end of the course. If you are doing a private course (day, half day and 3 and a half day courses) you will receive your certificate from The Beauty Guild via email within a few days of completing.
Q. Is post-course support available?
A . We will be more than happy to accommodate any post-course support you should need. Please call the centre on 0161 536 6895 so we can discuss the support best suited to your needs.
Q. Are refresher courses available?
A . If you want to recap on anything you’ve done on a course then you are more than welcome to come back to brush up on your knowledge. There will be a charge but at a significantly reduced price.
Q. Are there any pre-requisites I need to meet before joining a course?
A . Pre-requisites depend on which course you are looking to do, please be sure to look at the page for your particular course to be sure.
Q. What should I wear when attending my course?
A . You will need to wear all black clothing (or as much as possible) and flat, closed toe shoes. Please note, you will be provided with an SCC branded t-shirt upon arrival.
Q. What do I need to bring with me?
A . You will need to bring with you, a pen, a notepad, and if you wish a packed lunch, although there are many places close to the centre to buy lunch from.
Q. Is support available if I have a learning difficulty, such as Dyslexia?
A . We accommodate for learning difficulties and suitable changes will be made to your personal learning plan once we have established what will work best for you
Q. What support is available to me whilst on the course?
A . Support is constant throughout your time within our centre, you also have support available from our staff members 24/7 through our social media pages, as well as email outside of our working hours.
